How many boot releases is too many? Brands are dropping series, colourways and limited edition boots more frequently than ever before, with nothing seemingly out of bounds and graphic designers have pounced on that freedom of expression to get creative, none less so than Berlin based Lumo723.

Lumo723 is made up of two guys from Berlin, Lukas and Moritz, who obsess over football boots and sneakers and toy around with creative concepts that must been pushing the designers are brands every day. From signature styles to imaginary collaborations Lumo723 ask the questions, and we'd very much like all the answers to be signed off. Here we pick out our top 10 concept football boots designs from their portfolio of work.

First up is the Mercurial Superfly VII in the style of the latest Nike Premier League 19/20 Tunnel Vision Merlin Ball. The specifics of the ball design have been carefully replicated onto the Superfly to make it look like something that would appear in one of Virgil Abloh's dreams, and we're all for that.

One of our favourites, this. Lumo723 have taken the branding from the Premier League's #NoRoomForRacism. camping and stuck it on a Mercurial Superfly 6 concept. The colours taken from the 19/20 match ball that kicked off the season in August.

Next up is an adidas X 19+ concept based on the #showyourlaces campaign. These ‘warming stripe’ graphics are visual representations of the change in temperature as measured over the past 100+ years. Each stripe represents the temperature averaged over a year. Showing brands how they can effect change and spread positive message while remaining relevant aesthetically.

Yep, this is right up there. Those pink and black primary colours of Inter Miami is what the brand will be successfully built upon. That combo will sell, and David Beckham knows it. It's unique, it's quintessentially Miami and it's wearable. Oh, and it looks immense on a football boot. With Beckham's connections with Three Stripes we can see it being a very realistic project.
