Take your position on the podium. Or pick it, rather. Adidas have honoured the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with a trio of Ultra Boost colourways with relevant gold, silver and bronze medal inspiration.

The good news is, you don't have to win a medal to own a pair, unlike the first adidas 3D printed shoes. The heel cups are decorated in metallic colours of the top three Olympic prizes that jump out on the dark grey gradient Primeknit uppers of the gold and bronze, and a lighter look for the silver. Contrasting white Boost sole units complete the look for a smart collection. We can't help but feel the Bronze is just there because it has to be. Kind of like inviting the Class of '92 to your BBQ, you can't just not invite Phil Neville, it would be rude, wouldn't it? Chuck him a sympathy invite and save him a hot dog.

Some description

You know what? We'll quite happily come second here, that silver takes the.. well, gold, for us. Nobody remembers second place? Not bothered, mate.

Want a pair? Get them here from August 17.
