Striding on to the street scene with a generous amount of swagger, adidas launch the adidas Predator 19.1 TR in a choice of dark or light looks.

Some recent Predator trainers, such as last year’s ‘Off White’ release, have fallen more definitively in the ‘lifestyle’ category rather than the ‘performance’ of their origin. With those sharp lines and clean aesthetics you wouldn’t necessarily want to be punting a ball about in them down your local sports hall.

But the latest releases – a ‘Dark Grey Heather/Matte Silver/Active Red’ and a ‘White/Core Black/ Active Red’ – could seamlessly transition between both, with all the performance aspects you’d expect from an indoor football shoe contained in a look that could easily carry across to the street scene.

Both shoes retain the sharp lines across the primeknit upper that are now so synonymous with the reinvented Predator brand, while they also share a flash of classic Predator ‘Active Red’ in the heel. Where the Core White shoe then only features contrasting Three Stripes, the Dark Grey Heather option mixes it up with a black sockfit collar. And, of course, both still come riding in on a Boost midsole that’s wrapped in a gum rubber outsole. Nice.
