Having previously been spotted as part of Team USA’s 2020 Medal Stand Collection, the sustainability-focused Nike VaporMax 2020 has now surfaced online in a new clean “Black/Grey” colourway.

Taking an icon from the Air Max lock up, Nike have revamped the VaporMax, making it the latest tread in the brand’s march towards sustainability. The VaporMax 2020 is made using 75 percent recycled manufacturing waste. Its recycled-polyester Flyknit upper is precision-engineered for minimal waste. Additional features include FlyEase technology, enabling easy entry and adjustability for athletes of all abilities on the medal stand.

The first glimpse of the VaporMax 2020 originally came as part of Team USA’s 2020 Medal Stand Collection, with it presented in a multi-coloured look for which each colour and material was inspired by a view of piles of waste from a distance, mixing different textures, colours and shapes together. And now the next look has appeared, with a more monotone approach harking back to some classic Oreo looks from the past.

Branding elements on the “Black/Grey” colourway come in the form of embedded grey Swooshes at the midfoot, markings on the FlyEase laceless technology, heel tabs and extended heel counter at the rear. The design is then finished with an updated matching translucent VaporMax sole unit with more distinct rubber outsole segments.

The Nike VaporMax 2020 will launch later this year.
