"Never change a winning team." Those are the words of Kylian Mbappé after announcing that's he's extended his contract with Nike Football. The Monaco striker took to Twitter to end any speculation that his time with the Swoosh was coming to an end.

As Mbappé's current contract with Nike expired this summer rumours began to circulate that adidas were keen to swoop for the Monaco youngster, but it appears the decision was never in doubt for the player himself as he's put pen to paper on a long-term contract with the brand.

Although no details of the contract have been released as of yet, you can expect there to be a substantial increase across all aspects of the deal. More appearances, more high-profile attention and more zeroes on the end of each pay-cheque. The Three Stripes were reportedly set to offer Mbappé €5m a year so you can expect Nike to have at least matched that if true. Not bad for a kid, eh?

Some description
"Extension at @nikefootball. Never change a winning team."

The extension of Mbappé's contract is a significant move for Nike as the Swoosh secure the services of the world's most exciting 18-year-old, who has the potential to fly the Nike flag in a post-CR7 market. Nike are looking to the future and after setting the world on fire last season, Mbappé is set for another huge season, no matter which club he ends up at. How's that for some summer business? Always nice to have a potential world-record transfer player in your ranks.
