Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku becomes the first Premier League footballer to join Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports Agency after signing with the company in New York this week.

Lukaku travelled stateside this week to meet up with brand officials and other clients of the Roc Nation Sports Agency, including NFL running back Justin Fournette. What originated as Jay-Z's entertainment company, Roc Nation, has now branched out to Roc Nation Sports; an agency that aims to develop the career of professional sportspeople on and off the field.

Shout out to my guy @rlukaku9 💯

Roc Nation Sports Agency looks after commercial deals, media relations and 'brand strategy' of their clients, including; Kevin Durant, Dez Bryant, Jerome Boateng, and Miguel Cotto.

As Manchester United's record forward signing you'd think that Lukaku would have some serious strong marketing appeal, but the fact that he's yet to sign with a sports brand suggests he could do with the help of Jay-Z's contacts. Perhaps the link up with Roc Nation Sports Agency will push through a deal with any potential sports brand suitors.
