Real Madrid took time out from their US pre-season tour to hit up Hunters Point in New York last night for an exclusive event to launch their new adidas x Parley 2018/19 third shirt. From the seas to the stage, to the stadium.

Lending their full support to the Parley for the Oceans initiative, Real Madrid sent their leading names in Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos and Isco to further raise awareness about the incredible collaborative work that Parley and adidas are doing to impact positive change. It was also a decent excuse to take a look at all three 18/19 kits, as well as showcasing a Real Madrid x SoccerBible photography series from the last few trophy-laden seasons.

Every single Real Madrid 18/19 third jersey is made from plastic found and recycled from our oceans and finished in a bold coral colour as a homage to the beauty of the oceans we need to protect. Before the on-stage reveal, a panel discussion took place on the topic of plastic pollution, education & the power of sport, and a Parley workshop educated guests about the programme to tackle marine plastic pollution.

Gaz and Benz will get a chance to wear the new third shirt for the first time when Real Madrid take on AS Roma on 7 August at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
