Few backdrops can compete with that of where Nike took their latest Phantom tournament. With the French capital playing host, Paris welcomed the 'Tournoi Phantom Du Grand Paris Finale' and in doing so, brought three creative players to the city with them.

Assembling the best young players from the suburbs of Paris, the highly competitive tournament, hosted at Stade Emile Anthoine at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, saw teams from Bondy, Nanterre, Paris, Sarcelles and Vitry go toe-to-toe to determine who would be crowned the ultimate Phantom team from Paris. World Cup winner Blaise Matuidi (Juventus) was joined in attendance by Sarcelles native Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City) and Thilo Kehrer (Paris Saint-Germain) — all of who are playing for their domestic league champions.

With custom kits on show for each team, it stood as another chance for Nike to bring PhantomVSN creativity to the fore. The 'Phantom' player is seen as one who can bring out the unexpected when it matters most. Game changers in their own right, this gave local Paris players the chance to state their name and follows on from what Nike have rolled out across London and Berlin.

New season, strong game. You can slip into the Nike PhantomVSN here.
