Good news for fans of ground-breaking, trailblazing, cross sport collaborations, as early reports are indicating that Paris Saint-Germain and Jordan are set to extend their existing deal for at least another year.

In 2018, the world witnessed one of the most eagerly anticipated cross-sports collaborations, when, after months of speculation and high-profile stage appearances from the likes of Travis Scott and Justin Timberlake, PSG officially revealed their collection with Jordan, making them the first ever football club to link up with the basketball brand, in turn strengthening their position as lifestyle leaders and forward-thinking mavericks in football circles.

The initial three-year deal is set to expire in 2021, but early reports are now suggesting that the deal will be extended for at least another year. Given the unprecedented demand for the kits and accompanying clothing collections and the overall success of the collaboration, it’s no real surprise that the deal would be extended. The revenue from the existing deal, thought to be in the region of €200 million for the existing three-year deal, goes a long way to PSG being compliant with FIFA’s financial fair play rulings, something the club would be keen to continue.
