Set to support its partnership with The FA Competitions including The Non-League FA Vase Final this weekend, Mitre has today announced Aston Villa skipper, Tyrone Mings as their new Global Ambassador.

Having played at every level of the game, from non-league right through to the international scene, Tyrone Mings knows the game. His experience makes him the perfect ambassador for Mitre, encapsulating the British brand’s grassroots values, on and off the pitch. The partnership sees Mings feature in Mitre’s ‘Different League’ campaign, which encompasses Mitre’s position as the true grassroots football brand, encouraging players to watch & play the game, no matter their age or ability.

Off the playing field, Mings is known for giving back to the community through the Tyrone Mings Academy. It provides professional football coaching for children of all abilities aged between 6-16 in the South West and Midlands. Mitre is supporting the academy with its latest footballs and equipment in a collective effort to help bring accessibility and enjoyment to the next generation.

On signing with Mitre, Mings said: “In my opinion, you can’t talk about English football and all its history without talking about Mitre. It’s always been a brand that has been at the heart of the game.

“Some of my earliest memories of playing football as a kid at Chippenham, were with Mitre balls and together, we are committed to getting even more kids playing football for the love of the game.
