Designed by Japanese revolutionary and long term adidas collaborator Yohji Yamamoto the new all-black Real Madrid third shirt will be worn in this season's UEFA Champions League by the current holders.

In Yohji Yamamoto adidas have brought together a global design legend with one of the biggest football clubs in the world. Yamamoto is known for his work with the adidas Y3 label as well as his work on limited edition F50 designs including the new Yamamoto adizero f50. Now he's collaborated with Real Madrid to create a shirt that focuses on greatness and determination. Both elements are represented by two mythical beasts which originate from the Eastern culture and are interlaced on the front.

The "Dragon King" symbolizes the greatness, glory and power of the club, whilst the "Dragon Bird", an animal that is able to relive in the most hostile situations, represents the clubs resistance, determination and agility on its way to the victory. Got that? Good.
