Kicking off their new partnership, Mizuno and Lazio have unveiled the club’s home and away shirts for the 22/23 season, the first the Japanese brand had ever produced for the Serie A side.

Lazio get set for the 22/23 campaign with a complete visual refresh, with Mizuno coming in to replace Macron along with the introduction of new shirt sponsor Binance, a cryptocurrency exchange company, who take position in the traditional front slot as the club's first shirt sponsor since the 2018/19 season. Mizuno have been securing partnerships with Italian teams from Serie D to Serie B such as Cittadella, Cesena and Sudtirol over the last few years, but this new deal with Lazio is their first in Serie A.

The deal with Lazio will be very valuable to Mizuno as they try and establish a greater presence in Europe. For the home shirt they’ve opted for a pretty safe option that arrives in the traditional sky blue colouring of the club. White collar and cuffs with a sky blue line add to the design, but the beauty of this one is in the sublimated graphic of the club’s iconic eagle, Olimpia, which repeats diagonally across the shirt.

The away shirt then sees a black base with sky blue pops on collar and cuffs. The clean base allows all focus to linger on that striking graphic that flashes across the upper chest. This graphic is said to symbolise “Olimpia“ in full flight during a night game at Stadio Olimpico, and the design is topped off with a reversion to the classic hexagon crest.
