Despite a switch from Nike to PUMA, it looks like National League 1 side Torquay United are maintaining their style status, with the launch of their new home and away kits for the 22/23 season.

Thanks to a partnership with Pro:Direct Soccer, Devon-based side Torquay United have been able to establish themselves amongst the pioneers and front-runners of style on the pitch in recent years. Back in 2019, the club created a special edition kit to commemorate their 120th anniversary, and the black and gold design abandoned a traditional front of shirt sponsor, instead opting to highlight ‘1899’, the year of the club’s inception. And it’s a tradition that has stuck ever since, continuing into the Gulls’ 22/23 attire.

The home shirt arrives in Torquay’s traditional yellow and blue combo, with that ‘1899’ insignia taking pride of place front and centre, although it has been revamped from last season. It sits on a smart graphic design made up of the club initials. The away shirt mirrors the home shirt’s design features, albeit on a clean white base with grey accents.

The 22/23 season will mark the first time that Torquay United men’s and women’s teams will wear the same kit, as both strive to match the success of their recent kits off the pitch.
