Celebrating 50 years since the club won its first, historic Scudetto, Mizuno and Lazio have revealed a special edition jersey, which will be worn in the home match against Empoli on 12 May.

On 12 May 1974, the final whistle of referee Panzino blew and signalled the first historic Scudetto for S.S. Lazio. That team, which succeeded in the extraordinary feat of beating the great teams from the north, was made up of a group of semi-unknown men, led by Tommaso “The Maestro” Maestrelli, and their achievement is obviously a huge marker in the club’s history. Now, 50 years on, the club and technical sponsor Mizuno honour their legacy with a special edition shirt.

The shirt design features the names of the entire squad and of coach Tommaso Maestrelli delicately embossed in vertical stripes through the body. The wide edges of the collar and sleeves are retro-ribbed in white, while on the upper back, below the collar, the Italian flag recalls the Scudetto win.

On the front of the shirt, on the right, under the club's coat of arms, is a golden banner and the words 73-74 as a clear reference to the trophy won. Fitting of this special shirt, it comes in a special, luxury box made with premium embossed details.

The launch of this Special 50th Anniversary Kit will be accompanied by a capsule collection of leisure clothing and accessories, consisting of a track jacket, t-shirt, a cap and a backpack. White and Lazio sky blue are the celebratory colours of this very striking kit.
