Surely one of the most anticipated shirt drops of the season, Venezia unveil their third shirt for 23/24 from Kappa. The design honours the iconic Venetian gondoliere and their traditions with a focus on celebrating the people of Venice and its unique culture.
Following the launch of the 23/24 Pre-Match, Home, and Away Jersey’s this summer, the 23/24 Third Jersey arrives as a tribute to the gondoliere and their connection to the beautiful city of Venice, who for generations have sailed its canals in a tradition handed down from father to son. Think Venice, and gondoliers will never be far from your mind, and Venezia, along with Bureau Borsche and Kappa, once again deliver a unique design fitting of the club’s status as frontrunners in the football x fashion space.
Andrea Balbi, President of the Venetian Gondoliers Association, commented, “On behalf of all the gondoliers, I would like to thank Venezia FC for considering us cultural icons and our uniforms as a symbol of Venice. The distinctive look for the Third Jersey was designed by Mirko Borsche, and is based on the precise, bright, multicoloured shirts reminiscent to those worn by the Venetian icons. The blue and white horizontal stripes are a visual tribute to the gondolier tradition and the red details, prominent in the collar, recall the base colour of the flag of San Marco. That polo collar once again adds an aura of nostalgia and elegance, recalling a vintage and classic style at the same time.
