With the start of the 2024 National Women’s Soccer League right around the corner, Orlando Pride and Nike have unveiled the club’s new home and away kits, dubbed ‘The Phoenix Kit’ and ‘The Citrus Kit’ respectively.

As with MLS, the NWSL has one kit provider for all 14 teams, and that’s Nike. For 2024, the brand is implementing a historic league-wide kit reset, and as part of that Florida-based Orlando Pride have unveiled two new kits with The Citrus Kit – a bold, new jersey which pays tribute to Florida’s acclaimed citrus industry – and The Phoenix Kit, which features the team’s traditional purple and blue colour scheme.

This is the first time ever that a women’s professional soccer league has received a league-wide kit reset, as Nike hits refresh on the primary and secondary uniforms for every single team in the NWSL. The thoughtful designs reflect each club’s identity, provide a sense of joyful expression, and celebrate the energy created by sport for the teams and their communities.

We are proud to share two new, powerful kits with our fans and honored that we are again able to share the story of one of the pillars of our community and the state of Florida. Each year it is important for us to use our platform to celebrate those that laid the foundation for our city, and this year is no different. We hope our fans are as excited to wear The Citrus Kit and The Phoenix Kit as we are, and to proudly represent Orlando both at home and outside of Central Florida,” said Orlando Pride CMO Pedro Araujo. “This new partnership with Nike is a very exciting moment for the league. We’re grateful for their continued support of the Orlando Pride and the NWSL as a whole and are excited for the future opportunities this new, refreshed commitment will bring to our kits and team performance gear.

Of the two kits for The Pride, The Citrus Kit is the most eye-catching, introducing a bold, Florida orange to the team’s jersey rotation, taking direct inspiration from Central Florida’s citrus industry and adding a new, audacious colour palette that the team has never worn. From the groves surrounding The City Beautiful to classic, citrus crate packaging, the design connects directly with the history of the Club’s home community – a take on classic orange grove-inspired colourways featuring dreamy oranges and iced-out greens, the latter of which carries through for player names and numbers.

The custom embellishment on The Citrus Kit is directly inspired by the historic packaging found on citrus crates and labels unique to each grove. On the back of the socks, a hand drawn, scripted “Pride” takes its design cues from the hand painted lettering found on these labels. While the “Outer Pride”, found on the lower corner of the jersey, is a stylised “OP” featuring an orange cross section and orange blossom leaves and flowers.

The Phoenix Kit is then a more traditional affair, remaining true to the Pride’s primary colour combination, with a two-toned purple gradient running diagonally from top to bottom on the jersey. The Nike logos, player name and number are also displayed in team’s iconic “Eola Blue.”
