We recap a trio of Nike's celebratory football boot collections inspired by history and Brazil

Ahead of Nike revealing their 2014 World Cup boot pack we're taking a look back at their 2014 pre-World Cup boot collections inspired by the host nation, Brazil and their own ground breaking history.

Kicking off the Nike World Cup countdown was the launch of the Limited Edition Premier Celebration pack. Nike landed three fresh designs in a limited run inspired by three of their most recognised international teams that have won the World Cup; Brazil, England & France.

The Fast Forward collection followed; four Mercurial Vapor IX designs each inspired from the last four World Cups. The 1998 editions based on the boot Ronaldo worn in the final, the 2002 silver editions, the 2006 inspired yellow Vapor III and the Superfly editions worn by Ronaldo at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Rounding off a trio of Brazil inspired boot collections Nike dropped the limited edition Mercurial Tropical Pack. The bold new graphics and colours were whipped straight out of Brazil's backyard - the Amazon Rain Forest. Only 2500 pairs of each colourway were released.

That's all the World Cup build up done, roll on the tournament packs. Got a favourite from the collection? Let us know.
