The Nike Mercurial Vapor X gets a new season update with a fresh new "Electric Green" colourway.

The Nike Mercurial Vapor X gets treated to the same “Electric Green/HyperPunch/Black” colourway as the Mercurial Superfly IV ahead of the Spanish season kick off this weekend. Following on from the “HyperPunch” launch colourway and the Stealth Pack editions, Nike drop their third update on the landmark Vapor X featuring an bright green upper interrupted by a black-outlined “HyperPunch” Swoosh and “Volt” accents on the outsole.

The new colourway isn’t expected to be worn by any of Nike’s contracted players, but will no doubt be picked up by many Mercurial pro players across Europe. Green has always been a popular colour throughout the Mercurial Vapor series, first featuring on the “Cactus” Vapor III launched in 2007 and on the “Pine Green” and “Citron” Vapor IV.

The Nike Vapor X is designed with an ultra-thin micro fibre upper that has been engineered to shape to the foot and offer a barefoot and responsive fit. A tongue-less upper combines with a redesigned heel cup and a lightweight sole-plate for Nike’s most radical Vapor update since the Vapor VIII. The split-toe sole-plate features reconfigured blades with added studs at the heel for increased stability and at the toe for rotational toe-off traction.

The new "Electric Green/Volt/Hyper Punch/Black" Nike Mercurial Vapor X football boots are available from select Nike Stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer.
