Under Armour have pushed their Speedform model to the next level with a boot that lands under a new title and with a handful of technical advancements ready for the 2016/17 season. What we're looking at here is the Under Armour Spotlight Pro 2.0.

The Speedform was widely regarded as the most complete Under Armour football boot to date and had steadily built a strong reputation, clear concept and for many was the boot that seriously established the brand in the football market. To see Under Armour drop the Speedform title is an unexpected move, but rather than a Speedform 2.0 the brand have started again with the Spotlight.

Some description

The simplicity of the Speedform was pivotal in its popularity and provided the perfect base for Under Armour to build upon, and the Spotlight has done just that. The seamless anatomical heel-cup remains from the Speedform, a standout feature taken from the brand's running collection for cushioned fit and comfort. Other specifications include a secondary stretch construction for enhanced ball control and asymmetrical composite textile and moulded support to provide lateral stability.

Some description

The Speedform featured an articulated toe-box for locked in fit at the toe area but this tech has been transformed and placed under the foot as an internal traction enhancement. Launching in a conservative colourway complements the clean design for the next-generation speed boot. The Speedform set the bar high for Under Armour, now its up to the Spotlight to further enhance the brand's grasp on the football footwear market.
