Showing no signs of slowing down after a monumental 2016, adidas bring the New Year momentum by rolling out the "Chequered Black" collection, headlined by the ACE 17+ Purecontrol.
Starting the year in far more dignified style than our New Year's Eve hangover, the "Chequered Black" update arrives as the second official colourway to land on the second-generation laceless adidas ACE 17+ Purecontrol boot. A minimal black and white design with elegant chequered detailing all across the upper. 
A key technology alteration from the launch colourway sees adidas use the same collar upper construction used on the boots of their professional players. In what was a modified edition of the original design has now become standard across the ACE 17+ Purecontrol as adidas have addressed the teething problems to provide a more secure fit. 
Three shimmering silver stripes provide the classy finishing touches, whilst the transparent soleplate is quickly becoming a trademark feature for the ACE 17+ as it proudly shows off the introduction of BOOST technology on the second-generation silo. The "Chequered Black" collection will be rolled out as a pack across full ACE and X silos. Smart as you like, these.
