Yep, laces are still a thing. The 17.1 edition drops in on the Nemeziz 17+ 360 Agility undercard for a more traditional version of the boot, if you can call it that. The boot that will be worn by Leo Messi arrives on the Dust Storm scene in disruptive style.

As adidas let their laceless creations dance in the spotlight, the Nemeziz 17.1 will play a supporting role when it comes to brand messaging, but it'll be a boot that will no doubt share the limelight when it comes to player uptake. Based on the same concept as the Nemeziz 17+ 360 Agility, the 17.1 is centered around attacking players renown for agility and shares the same technology as its laceless brother. The key difference with the 17.1 is the modified AgilityBandage to accommodate the laces.

The TorsionFrame outsole features an ultra-lightweight construction and TorsionRibs provide dynamic push off support. The new AgilityKnit 2.0 interlocking yarn structure provides a soft direct touch and a lightweight adaptable feel. In short the adidas Nemeziz 17.1 is quite simply a laced version of the 17+.

The strongest card from the upcoming Dust Storm pack is played early by adidas and will be backed up by a next-generation X and colour update for the ACE in the coming days. Look out for Messi switching into the Nemeziz 17.1 when Barcelona take on Alaves in the Copa del Rey Final on Saturday 27 May.
