New Balance prepare for the 2017/18 season by taking their Furon silo into a third generation. The lightweight speed boot is subtly upgraded as the brand provide more evidence of progression with a minimal design and alternative launch colourway.

When New Balance relaunched into the football market in 2015 they did so with the Visaro and Furon silos. The Visaro was focused on control and the Furon on speed, however it was the Visaro that flourished as the Furon took a back seat. Since then, New Balance have focused hard on improving the Furon series and cementing it as a real contender in an ultra-competitive speed boot market.

The second generation Furon 2.0 went some way to achieving that with a more dynamic fit and more popular player uptake, but the third-gem is arguably the most important yet. The boot that, by a third generation, should be bang on the money when it comes player experience. New Balance have kept the well-received clean aesthetic, but introduced a few new technologies to advance the Furon 3.0 including the lightweight hybrid mesh upper with Zonal Support Frame.
