Referees officiating the 2018 World Cup have each been supplied with special edition adidas Copa Mundial boots designed to celebrate the iconic silhouette's 10th World Cup appearance.

Every single official involved in the tournament has received black out editions of the famous silo, with each boot hosting a customised heel to call out the World Cup logo and 'Russia 2018' in gold detailing. A strong souvenir for the men in black, and a collectors edition with no plans to be made available to the public.

The Copa Mundial design for the refs has been a low key one with more fans beginning to notice the heel customisation as the tournament progresses. The boots in the images above belonging to Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir, who was the man in the middle of Iran's late 1-0 victory over Morocco on Friday afternoon.

The move to supply the officials with the iconic fold-over tongue Copa Mundial ensures that the series has now appeared at every single World Cup tournament since its debut at Spain 1982. Forever a classic.
