Taking strides into a new world of boot design, New Balance unveil the next generation Tekela v3 "Futuresight" edition, the first laceless football boot from the brand, and it comes wrapped in a “Navy Eclipse/Silver Metallic” colourway, with a kaleidoscopic palette of “Varsity Orange, Chromatic and Atomic Yellow and Neo Crimson and Flame” highlighting the strike zone.

The Tekela has often been the overlooked sibling in New Balance’s repertoire, taking on a supporting role to the more prominent Furon on pitch. But now, following on from the next-gen Furon v6, the brand's first boot to feature a knit upper, the Tekela steps out of the shadows with a data-driven design that marks a generational leap for the silo. Gone are the laces, replaced by a full foot stretch-knit upper with an integrated hypoknit closure system. This one is all about control over the ball, eradicating any other interferences.

Sure, we’ve seen laceless before, it’s not a revolutionary sight in itself anymore. But this is a first for New Balance, taking the brand into uncharted territory. It hasn’t completely abandoned what’s gone before though, instead refining and improving, as all good evolutions do. So the design still comes with the Kinetic Stitch technology, only here it’s driven by a new algorithm, and joined by a unique embedded pattern in the upper. Those eye-catching 3D sections of colour highlight the strike zone, increasing ball feedback to offer improved touch and control.

On the underside, and that kaleidoscopic colouring continues on to the outsole, which boasts a lightweight nylon chassis with multi-directional TPU stud tips for incredible traction and acceleration. Inside, an infiniGRIP Ortholite insole offers cushioning and prevents foot slippage.
