A new “White/Flash Crimson/Hyper Jade” colourway for the Nike Mercurial Superfly VII and Vapor XIII has been released, revealing the new look way ahead of their official launch date – so far in fact, that they don’t even have an official name yet.

Clean, crisp and carrying that striking lightning Swoosh down the lateral side, the new look that’s surfaced for the Mercurial has instantly got us wanting more… but the caveat here is that these beauties supposedly aren’t out until September. SEPTEMBER!!! That’s a crazy long wait. Long enough to forget all about them and then feel super-jazzed when they finally do come out.

So what exactly are we looking at? This is the second Nike release that will feature the lightning Swoosh after it debuted on the ‘Neighbourhood Pack’ back in May. While there it took on a fairly understated look in black, notably reduced in size on both Mercurial models, here it gathers all the attention it deserves, standing out oversized in “Hyper Crimson” on that crisp white background. That impactful crimson colouring fades as it wraps from the lateral side to the medial, transitioning into the “Hyper Jade” colouring. This transition is captured best on the underside, with the effect captured perfectly on the split soleplate.

Talk of the Tiempo being seen in the same style suggests that this may be a first glimpse at a pack release, however, with a summer shakeup on the cards for Nike’s four silo setup, it’s unknown what shape that pack could take. Still, one bonus of having to wait until September is that you’ll be able to actually wear them on pitch that much sooner…
