Continuing what may well become something of a trend, PUMA launch the Manchester City Academy pack, wrapping the Ultra and Future 5.1 trimmed in the famous sky blue colours of the club.

PUMA and Manchester City have enjoyed their first year together, despite the club missing out on the Premier League and Champions League trophies. The partnership got underway at the beginning of last season, and it was immediately celebrated with special edition versions of the ONE and Future. Now, just over 12 months later, the move is repeated, albeit with PUMA’s current line-up, which includes the all-new Ultra.

Both the Ultra and Future 5.1 feature a black base that’s accented with the iconic City blue, notably on their bold soleplates, which boast the word ‘CITY’ running from toe to heel. That soleplate design also shows off the shattered graphic that ties the whole design in with City’s new home shirt for the 20/21 season.

That sky blue colouring also pops through the PUMA branding on the heel and forefoot of the Ultra, while it takes on a slightly more prominent role on the Future, flashing through not only the branding, but also through the fully knitted upper with the adaptable NETFIT support.

Unlike the recently released Manchester-inspired ‘City Pack’, which could hold appeal across the whole city, this one is clearly just for Man City fans. Coventry fans at a push.
