Raiding the archives to bring back a classic, Lotto launch the limited edition Zhero Gravity “White/Gold”. The design sees a reworking of the original Zhero Gravity upper, combining it with a lightweight and modern outsole.

Lotto were well ahead of the game back in 2006 with the Zhero Gravity silo – the world’s first laceless boot, launched a full 10 years before adidas gave us the ACE 16+ Purecontrol. But it wasn’t appreciated at that time for the innovative creation that it was. Now, with the laceless revolution in full swing, Lotto bring back the original Zhero Gravity design, tweaked for the modern game and limited to just 130 pairs.

Despite the OG Zhero Gravity being well ahead of its time, it has continued to be a strong part of the Lotto DNA, informing the Italian brand’s design for well over a decade. The Solista picked up the laceless baton for the modern game, and was even released in a homage-fuelled colourway to the OG Zhero Gravity earlier this year, but now Lotto have decided to release a recreation of the original, reworked for the demands of the game today – although with such limited numbers this one is far more likely to be a collector’s piece than a pitch player.

The design sees a close match to the original’s upper, wrapped in the same white and gold hues. But it’s on the underside that things are brought forward, with the same soleplate that was used on the aforementioned Solista 100 III. It sees PuntoFlex in the forefoot to guarantee flexibility and reactivity, and yet remains lightweight. The heel back counter is specially designed to provide increased stability and support. Lotto’s laceless legacy lives on, only lighter than before.
