Better late than never, the Nike Tiempo Legend IX has sneakily slipped onto the scene in its ‘Blueprint’ colourway, joining the already released Mercurial Vapor 14 and Superfly 8 and Phantom GT II.

The ‘Blueprint Pack’ has been an odd drop to say the least, dropping over a three month span. First up we got the Mercurial Vapor 14 and Superfly 8, and it was here that the pack really drew its naming inspiration, with a “Chlorine Blue/Laser Orange/Marina” colourway that conjured images of its namesake. While it wasn’t a new generation release, it did see a rejig of the aesthetics for a fresh take for the new year. Then came the Phantom GT II, which arrived in a contrasting "Laser Orange/Black/Total Orange" colourway, flipping the colour priorities but still maintaining that link. Now we get the Tiempo Legend IX…

On first appearance you’d be forgiven for not realising that this was a part of the ‘Blueprint Pack’, arriving as it does in a radically different “Team Red/White/Mystic Hibiscus” colourway, that red base colour standing it in stark contrast to the other two. But that “Mystic Hibiscus” colouring does just about get a pass as a link to the Mercurial colouring, and flip the boot over and the soleplate is a divide of the two main colours of the pack as a whole.

We got our first peek at the new Tiempo Legend IX colourway in action over in the Turkish league, with the vast majority of players yet to make the switch just yet. Assuming that’ll be one to watch out for in the coming weeks.

As it stands only the soft ground variation is currently available, but the firm ground will arrive in the coming weeks along with the fairer weather and, as if planned, the firmer ground. Genius.
