Rolling out the special edition treatment for the latest generation of its longest lasting silo, Nike drop the Tiempo Legend X ‘Prototype’, which shows off the boot in a pristine presentation that highlights the construction of the boot.

Nike certainly know how to do special editions, and focus to that end is currently on the Tiempo Legend X. Following the ‘Golden Touch’ edition, released back in early August and acknowledging the Tiempo’s historic links to the premium colour, Nike now turn attention on the materials and construction behind the latest iteration of the brand’s longest lasting boot. As you’d expect, this is a limited edition drop, so be sure to get in there quick.

To ensure focus is on the elements and innovations within the new Tiempo Legend X, it arrives in a triple white colourway, featuring a translucent soleplate to highlight the build of the boot. That build is further accentuated through the use of “blueprint” style accents that appear across the entire upper and even through the soleplate.

The idea is to ensure focus is on the tech behind the boot, and that’s mainly the FlyTouch Plus. The Tiempo X is the first to feature Nike’s latest material innovation. It’s a proprietary synthetic leather, which is soft, light, and strong, giving athletes extra ball control where they need it most, while it also helps make the Tiempo Legend X the lightest Tiempo to date, as well as 55 percent less water-retentive than previous versions. And that white look certainly does the job in ensuring it looks absolutely premium.
