Concept Kicks Creates Design For Jordan x Sterling

It doesn’t take much to inspire creative minds, and the recent report that Raheem Sterling could potentially be signing up with Jordan Brand was enough to get someone thinking, with a sleek concept design surfacing that hints at the possibilities of the Jordan x Sterling collaboration.

A recent report from the Telegraph no-less, suggested that Raheem Sterling was possibly set to front Jordan's next foray into the footballing world, following their immensely hyped move into football last season with PSG. While there has been no further movement on that story, London-based design studio Concept Kicks have taken the idea and run with it, with designer Tom Weightman creating a super-streamlined concept for the collaboration.

Jordan exists as a subsidiary of Nike, but this concept sees a laceless design for the collaboration – something the Swoosh has yet to produce. An asymmetric collar is then joined by a stretch knit fabric across the upper, while silicone print grip on the vamp would add to the control element of the boot, adding a nice dynamic to the aesthetic. The Jumpman then sits proudly on the heel to finish the sleek design off.

While Jordan’s roots sit firmly in basketball, they also have endorsements with Major League baseball players and even musicians. With the huge success of the brand’s ongoing collaboration with PSG, the potential of this move is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility.
