Topps Chrome Gallery Brings The Art Of Card Collecting To London

Topps brought the world of card collecting to life in London this week, opening the doors to Topps Chrome Gallery: The Art of Card Collecting, an immersive exhibition celebrating the launch of the Topps Chrome UEFA Club Competitions 2025/26 collection.

Held at Protein Studios in Shoreditch on May 7 and 8, the gallery reframed the hobby through a more visual, experiential lens, taking the language of trading cards and scaling it up into a series of installations, artworks and collector-led moments.

Rather than simply previewing the new collection, the exhibition looked to capture the emotion, anticipation and storytelling that sits behind the card-collecting world.

Across the space, visitors were given an early look at the cards, concepts and creative direction behind one of Topps’ most anticipated annual football releases, with each installation drawing from the details that make Topps Chrome such a recognisable part of the hobby: rare 1/1 cards, sought-after inserts, bold artwork, scarcity, player narratives and the thrill of the pack.

Highlights included a “rookie bedroom” installation exploring the mindset of football’s next generation, a Chrome infinity box that played on the depth and shine of the brand, a large-scale anime-inspired ceiling installation, a display of rare 1/1 Topps Chrome cards, and a live box-breaking experience that brought one of collecting’s most exciting rituals into the gallery setting.

Featuring contributions from artists, collaborators, partners and collectors from the UK, Germany and beyond, the Chrome Gallery served as a reminder of how far card culture has travelled in recent years. What was once a niche corner of football fandom now sits closer to design, art, nostalgia and wider football culture.

With stylish nods to iconic players past and present, Topps Chrome Gallery showed card collecting at its most immersive: part exhibition, part launch moment, and part celebration of the stories that make the hobby so compelling.

2025/26 Topps Chrome UEFA Club Competitions cards are available now.
