PSG Reveal & Debut 26/27 Home Kit From Nike

Paris Saint‑Germain revealed – and then debuted – their new Nike home kit for the 2026/27 season over the weekend as they all but sealed a fifth consecutive Ligue 1 title with a narrow 1–0 victory over Brest.

PSG are one of those clubs with an unmistakable visual identity. At the heart of that identity lies the famous Hechter stripe – the vertical band that has made Paris instantly recognisable around the world. While the club has drifted away from the stripe at times in recent years, using it in only half of the last eight home kits, the 2026/27 design marks a welcome and bold return to tradition.

Designed in partnership with Nike for a remarkable 37th consecutive season, the new home kit is described as a tribute to the club’s DNA, reconnecting PSG with its most iconic design codes from both past and present. Central to that philosophy is the Hechter stripe, which returns in classic form, though with a modern twist.

The base colour is a striking royal blue officially named ‘Old Royal’, a noticeably lighter shade than the deeper blues used in recent PSG home shirts. This brighter tone gives the kit a fresh, energetic feel while still remaining rooted in the club’s traditional palette. Secondary accents come in White and University Red, reinforcing the French tricolour identity that has always underpinned PSG’s visual language.

One of the standout details of the 26/27 home kit is its fully centralised layout. Both the club crest and the Nike Swoosh are positioned centrally on the shirt, sitting within a noticeably wider Hechter stripe than usual. The increased width allows all logos to be housed cleanly within the stripe, creating a balanced and symmetrical look that feels both deliberate and distinctive.

This design choice not only emphasises the stripe itself but also gives the shirt a bold, unified aesthetic that stands out among modern football kits. It is a confident nod to PSG’s heritage, executed with contemporary precision.

The PSG 26/27 home shirt will be available from 15 May at prodirectsport.com/soccer
