Stripping things right back to an aesthetic that screams the 1970s, adidas and Club América present a new jersey as part of the 110th anniversary of the Águilas.
This season seems to be all about stripped back kit design. Everywhere you turn there’s a clean shirt getting a release, from the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt’s away shirt to AFC Wimbledon’s third shirt. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining – these are some of the most beautiful kits of the 26/27 season. And now Club América and adidas have taken it to another level with the club’s new anniversary kit.
The anniversary shirt sees Club América tap into its rich heritage, reviving the iconic cream and blue colour palette in a design that feels pulled straight from the club's golden years. Inspired by the 1970s, it nods to a transformative era in Mexican football, one in which Las Águilas forged an identity built on innovation, ambition and a relentless drive to stay one step ahead.
For that look, we get a centralised crest with thre Trefoil ridiing above. It really doesn't get much simpler than that in terms of execution, and it's striking for exactly that reason.
The throwback aesthetic extends beyond the outfield strip, with the goalkeeper set to wear a full-blue kit that provides a striking contrast against the cream tones of the players' shirt. It's a simple touch, but one that further reinforces the vintage feel running throughout the collection.

Celebrating with an emblematic jersey pushes us to fight for more, knowing that the first 110 years of greatness are just the beginning.”
