There’s been plenty of hints and clues, but now we finally get the official launch of the Nike Phantom x Cactus Jack, which signals Travis Scott’s first foray into the world of performance footwear.
As well as being one of the biggest superstars in the music industry right now, Travis Scott has also become one of the most influential figures in sneaker culture over the past decade, largely through his long-running collaboration with Nike and Jordan Brand. Now though, he’s taking things from pavement to pitch with the launch of the limited edition Phantom x Cactus Jack.
It’s no secret that Scott is a huge football fan, and his growing presence around the game has been hard to ignore. From pulling up at Nike’s TOMA events to casually blending into elite-level football culture, he’s been edging closer to a proper on-pitch moment. The buzz really hit another level in Miami, where he stepped out in a pair of never-before-seen Phantom 6 Indoor boots, stamped with that unmistakable Cactus Jack branding. That alone was enough to send both sneakerheads and football fans into meltdown.
From there, the sightings kept coming. Erling Haaland was spotted lacing up a pair, Mexico’s Alexis Vega followed suit, and suddenly this felt like more than just a one-off crossover. Add in the momentum from Scott’s recent Cactus Jack x T90 collection, and the stage was perfectly set. Now, we finally have the full reveal of the Phantom x Cactus Jack, and it doesn't disappoint.
The upper arrives in a bold green and brown combo, with the brighter green taking over the lower section, while a rich brown wraps around the collar for contrast. It’s earthy, but still loud in that unmistakable Travis Scott way.
Gold accents hit the Swoosh and laces, adding a flash of luxury that instantly elevates the whole look. Around the heel, things get even more interesting. There’s a textured, almost reptilian finish that calls back to the Kobe “Black Mamba” Phantom from late 2025. It’s a subtle nod, but one that adds depth and a slightly aggressive edge to the overall design.
Branding is kept clean but intentional. The “Cactus Jack” wordmark sits proudly on the medial side, while the signature stitched face logo lands on the heel.
Performance-wise, it’s still very much a Phantom at heart. This isn’t just a lifestyle spin-off or a turf-only drop, it’s built to be worn at the highest level. And with players like Haaland already in the conversation, don’t be surprised if these light up the biggest stages sooner rather than later.
All in all, this feels like a natural next step for both Nike and Travis Scott. He’s already conquered sneaker culture, now he’s bringing that same disruptive energy onto the pitch.
