In a world where we’re seeing more and more outlandish collaborations, graphic designer Rupertgraphics, aka Alberto Mariani, has put his own wild spin on what it would look like if Inter Milan and fashion powerhouse, Prada combined. And the results are quite outstanding…

Collaborations in football are becoming more and more commonplace, with the football x fashion crossover bursting into a valuable and much hyped market over the past few years. Where PSG first walked with their Jordan hook up, others have since followed, including Juventus joining forces with Palace. It’s a sign of the intrinsic link that streetwear, fashion and football all now share, with more and more clubs seeing the value in these types of moves. Having previously looked at streetwear x football collabs we’d like to see in the future, we’ve now been treated to a conceptualised version of another: Inter Milan x Prada, courtesy of graphic designer Rupertgraphics.

Rupertgraphics, otherwise known as Alberto Mariani, has produced two kits for the collaboration – home and away – with a snake-inspired theme running throughout. That snake theme is borrowed directly from several Prada items, most notably a handbag, for which the snake skin design is presented in an unnatural blue and black – unnatural for a snake maybe, but a perfect match for Inter. Mariani has therefore utilised this graphic as the blue stripes on the traditional vertical black and blue home look of I Nerazzurri.

But I Nerazzurri is not the only nickname by which Inter are known. They are also often called Il Biscione, which translates to The Big Grass Snake, making these designs even more appropriate. The home shirt is then joined by an even more direct link to that nickname and the stylings of Prada, with a large snake – again in the traditional blue and black of Inter – winding its way across a white base. Both shirts are finished off with Prada sponsoring on the front and the Italian brand's font on the rear. Two striking designs that any football fan would love to see on pitch, and that fashion aficionados would happily see walking down the catwalk. We can but dream…
