Presented in a shadowy stealth suit of dark delight, concept designer victorieux has created a concept 3rd kit for England that would be sure to gain mass approval were it to ever see the light of day. Or the dark of night, as that would be far more appropriate for this seductive little number…

England, like most nations, have a fairly routine colouring system that sees home in white, obviously, while the away has usually been in red, with third kits usually being a variation of blue hues. Now that blue has veered on the side of darkness before, notably in the 2010/13 and 16/17 campaigns, but now concept designer victorieux has run with that idea and gone for a full on black kit.

The black is punctuated by iridescent details that flash through the famous Three Lions crest, through the Swoosh branding, and then, on the rear, through the player name and numbering. But that’s it. Other than that this is a black kit in the mould of AIK. And that is no bad thing – far from it in fact. Third kits often provide a freedom of design at club level, and it’s something we’d love to see introduced for national sides. Nike have already showed that they’re loosening the constraints of their designs, so here’s hoping…
