As the summer tours start to set in, it was Manchester United who took to the stage first as they took on Mexican side Club America in a tropically sizzling Arizona.

Tested and pushed to the extremes in well weathered conditions, it was the Mexican side that will come away having bossed the game. Naturally, the United side is still coming up to strength following the World Cup and have a large number of first teamers missing though there was still plenty of big money men on show.

Club America took the lead on the 59th minute though Juan Mata was able to help salvage a draw with an equaliser twenty minutes later. The United staff and squad will be pleased for the players to dust off the cobwebs and hits some competitive game time as pre-season gets into a groove though this game showed there is plenty of work to be done to get them up to Premier League levels.
