When something works, it just works. Continuing their successful partnership, Stormzy and adidas Originals have collaborated once more, this time on a special signature Sobakov that features camo print accents on a black core.

Rarely seen without Three Stripes adorning some part of his attire, Stormzy and adidas made their partnership official late last year, celebrating with an event that featured their new SPRT collection along with the exclusive reveal of the rapper’s music video ‘Line’, which had been created in partnership with adidas Originals. Now the pair have come together once more, this time to put a Stormzy-styled stamp on the grime artist’s favourite sneaker, the Sobakov.

For the Stormzy x Sobakov, the predator-inspired sneaker gets dressed out in a black velvet suede upper, with those precision-esque Three Stripes wrapping from heel to forefoot, transitioning from the white of the heel to the solid black that wraps up the side. Interestingly Stormzy opted for the 2018 model rather than the newer, accelerator-inspired 2019 model.

Grey camo print then pops on the heel and notably on the modified tongue tag, which boldly rides above the laces across the whole tongue. The chunky outsole returns in full, with no sign of 2019’s addition of Boost in the heel. Its grey translucent effect allowing for a nice sign off, revealing the Stormzy’s iconography in yellow. Drippin’ class.

The Stormzy x adidas Sobakov will be available from selected retailers from 30 June.
