Backing up the release of the in-demand on-pitch version, adidas have launched the “Japan Blue” Predator Mania Trainer, which sees the iconic upper placed on top of a bulked up Boost outsole.

The “Japan Blue” Predator rerelease was a modernised version of the boot worn by adidas-contracted Japan players at the 2002 World Cup which they co-hosted with South Korea. And as has become something of a regularity with recent rereleases, adidas have complemented it with a similarly styled lifestyle option, combining the aesthetic of the boot for an alternative design for the streets.

The TR version takes the same combo of blue, red and white on an upper that’s almost identical to the boot, including those swerved rubber fins, although a velcro tongue replaces the elasticated wrap to ensure that it's street ready. The all white UltraBoost midsole is subbed in in place of the split soleplate design, completing the revamp of the Predator for the pavement. As with the boot, this one is limited in numbers, so get it while you can!
