Leo Messi tells the next generation how he deals with the pressures of the game as adidas release episode 3 in the 'Backed by Messi' series.
The series follows ten young players selected by adidas and Messi to wear the Barcelona striker's signature boot and to join 'Team Messi'. After notching his fifth Ballon d'Or this month Messi touches on the pressures that come with being the labelled the best and shares his wisdom with his assembled squad of future hopefuls.
In the latest episode adidas caught up with Maxwel Cornet, Aleksey Miranchuk, Khiry Shelton, Timo Werner and Gyasi Zardes to see how they deal with the pressure of being a rising star for their club. Zardes explains how he tackled the pressure of playing in the 2014 MLS Championship final in front of a home crowd. Maxwel Cornet discusses how pre-match pressure helps him perform his best, whilst Aleksey Miranchuk describes how he overcame pressure to net the winning goal in the 2015 Russian Cup final.
