As part of the brand’s #HomeTeam initiative, which has been launched to keep members of the public in lockdown fit, healthy and entertained, adidas have produced the Collections series, showcasing the favourite jerseys and boots of some of the world’s best footballers. And Becky Sauerbrunn and Alvaro Morata are up next.

The HomeTeam Collections series kicked off last week with Xabi Alonso looking back on some of his favourite shirts from his exceptional career and the stories behind them. And now that’s followed up with a double dose, with both the USWNT’s Becky Sauerbrunn and Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata both looking back on the boots that helped shape the highlights from their own careers.

First up, Sauerbrunn – another World Cup winner after Alonso – reveals the boots that helped her win the lot, including her Predator Instinct boots from 2015. She went on to win the World Cup again in 2019 after qualifying in one of her all-time favourite colourways, another that gets a special mention here.

Then it’s on to Morata, who highlights some of his favourite adidas boots from his collection. Unlike Sauerbrunn, Morata’s collection is also comprised of some classics that the Spaniard didn’t actually wear himself, such as the Predator Mania and David Villa’s 2010 World Cup boots.
