We pick out our top 5 favourite Brazil kits
We've picked out our top 5 Brazil football kits of all time ahead of the World Cup this summer. The famous yellow jerseys have lifted the big prize on five occasions and they'll be looking to lift a sixth in their own back yard come July. From five down to one here's our pick of the best, including a few dodgy hair cuts and some suspect facial hair.
5 | South Korea/Japan 2002
Dropping in as our fifth favourite Brazil shirt is the 2002 Nike kit for the World Cup in Japan and Korea. Featuring a tad more green than the usual jersey the 2002 strip was worn by the legendary Ronaldo, who scored twice in the final against Germany to lift the country's fifth World Cup.
4 | Mexico 1986
Brazil's 1986 strip clinches our fourth spot. Granted it's not half as class as Socrates' beard/hair/sweatband combo but it's brilliantly old school nonetheless. Manufactured by Brazilian sports brand Topper the kit used a classic green v-neck collar that was the inspiration for the 2009 Nike Brazil shirt.
3 | France 1998
Picking up the bronze is the Nike 1998 strip worn in France. For those of you in your early twenties this was probably the first Brazil kit of memory. Rivaldo, Cafu, Ronaldo & co kitted out in the jerseys as they came runners up to hosts France, losing 3-0 to two Zidane strikes and a late Petit goal.
2 | Argentina 1978
The Brazil strip worn at the 1978 World Cup in Argentina just about out performed the expertly trimmed perms on show. A real old school classic supplied by adidas with all shirts featuring the famous three stripes, all in long sleeve. The perfect blend of simplicity and retroliciousness (yeah, that's a word). Special love reserved for that 'keeper top too. Classic.

Ladies and gentlemen, what you're looking at here is hands down our favourite Brazil football shirt of all time. Another majestic kit, another World Cup in the bag. The Umbro strip from 1994 was a typically 90's affair that featured three huge Brazil crests printed across the chest. Some say tacky, we say beautifully unique. They don't make them like this anymore. Just look how happy Bebeto is, look at him.
