Following the launch of the Umbro Everton 2014/15 home kit, we put the Toffee’s new home jersey through the SoccerBible studio for a closer look at how Umbro have marked their welcome return to the Premier League.

After a brief hiatus, Umbro are back doing what they do best: producing classic looking, tailored football kits. This year the Manchester based brand have signed up three new British clubs: Everton and Hull City in the Premier League and Championship side Derby.

The first of the three to be released was the new Everton home kit. The lightweight jersey has been designed in classic Everton blue and features a textured micro shadow stripe woven into the shirt. A dark navy grandad collar with a concealed top button gives the design a classic retro feel that Umbro are renowned for.

The new club crest, which was voted for by the fans after a backlash over its predecessor, and Umbro logo are embroidered rather than printed, in white stitching and produce and air of quality. Whilst the top eyelet on each side of the shirt is in the shape of the iconic Toffee Tower, a unique and thoughtful detail that has to be applauded.

What do you think of Umbro's return to the top flight and the new Everton home shirt?
