Looking to celebrate the culture of the people and place they represent, Everton and Umbro have released their home kit for the 2018/19 season, backed by a campaign entitled 'Go On'.

Umbro have looked to re-invent classic styling with the latest Everton home kit and as the double diamonds wrap the cuffs, the collar sets the tone. Under the surface the club and brand have looked to celebrate what makes the city of Liverpool such an eclectic and vibrantly creative place with the release of the 'Go On' campaign. You'll see the likes of Cutthroat Pete appear in the video alongside first team players, skaters, boxers and a wealth of other subcultures that cross football through their support for Everton.

While the campaign has its message, the kit does some straight up and tidy talking. It's an original and minimalist cut that goes the distance in setting the bar for a new season. Everton is a club with a strong fanbase so it's only right they invested time in collaborating with fans in the creation of this kit. The brand say 15 months of development have gone into getting this kit right and as a result there are a number of features the fans wanted to call out, with thousands having an involvement in the process.

To incorporate feedback that referenced a number of fan favourite shirts through the decades, the new shirt features Everton blue with iconic white Umbro taping on the sleeve cuffs – a nod to some of the classic Everton shirts of the 1970s. Alongside this, a contemporary take on a classic collar features with a two -button placket. Fans also spoke about the importance of Prince Rupert’s Tower, the local monument that features in the Everton club crest, and which sits on the nape of the neck on the new shirt. Gary Evans, Chair of the Everton Fans’ Forum said; “The lengths that Umbro have gone to listen to the feedback of fans is impressive and has resulted in what we believe is a really strong design for next season. “As a fan you always look forward to the reveal of a new kit and this one doesn’t disappoint. This is a shirt that Evertonians will be proud to wear.”

Phil Jagielka, Everton First Team Captain, said: “This kit is a subtle nod to Everton’s traditions, but is one that every one of us will wear proudly on Saturday and for the season to come as we look to write the Club’s future. “When you pull on an Everton shirt you are representing Evertonians everywhere, and for this one
to be made up of what they want makes it just that bit more special”.

Sharp start to 18/19, the kit will be worn for the first time when Everton take on Southampton this weekend.
