Weaving Caribbean flavour through those iconic double diamond shapes, Umbro have launched the 2018/19 Jamaica kits inspired the the unique culture and energy that flows through the nation.

Umbro usher in a new era of Jamaican football with the launch of the nations 2018/19 kits, collaborating with Jamaican photographer William Richards on a series of images that capture Jamaican citizens in natural environments. The brand have looked to capture something truly authentic as they showcase a set of outstanding home and away kits.

The new home jersey lands in Jamaica’s traditional vibrant yellow colour, with a striking black, green and yellow taping design on the sleeves, inspired by the Umbro double diamond logo and the country’s iconic flag. On the body there is a subtly embossed graphic inspired by the palm trees that line the Jamaican coastline. Black shorts with the colourful taping trim and yellow socks complete the home look.

The eye-catching design of the away jersey is inspired in equal parts by current trends for strong graphics and the vibrant culture of Jamaica. A black jersey with green collar and sleeve trims, it features a vivid, colourful graphic on the main body that draws from the colours of the Jamaican nation, the energy of the island’s culture and Umbro’s timeless diamond logo. The Reggae Boyz nickname features on the back neck in yellow, while a tonal black version of the home kit’s taping design runs down the sleeves of the shirt and also features on the accompanying yellow shorts. Black socks complete the away strip which will be worn for the first time in the friendly fixture against Ecuador.
