Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven unveiled their Umbro away shirt for the 2018/19 season by wearing it for the first time in Sunday's 3-3 draw with ADO Den Haag.

The new Umbro away strip pays tribute to one of the club's greatest ever moments. On 25th May 1988 Guus Hiddink’s PSV beat Benfica 6-5 on penalties to win the 1987/88 European Cup, on the back of winning both Dutch titles in a treble year. On that evening in '88 PSV sported a white and blue away shirt; thirty years later, it's back.

For the 2018/19 season that iconic jersey has been transformed into a modern interpretation of the style with a graphic depiction of the 80’s jacquard fabric used on the original kit. A back neck sign-off is included on the shirt and has also been inspired by the cup win, commemorating the date of the victory, and the location of the final. But, yeah, it's all about those cuffs. Beautifully retro. It's what the Double Diamond do best.
