The fifth successive kit Umbro have produced for Hull City, the latest instalment, fresh for the 2018/19 season, is clinically tidy while the iconic amber brings some tiger roar to their on pitch attire.
Umbro have fused their new club kits with touches of retro gold while cutting them in contemporary form. The Hull City 18/19 example is one that will look fresh on pitch just as it will off it. Naturally, attention turns to the piping that runs around the cuffs of the sleeves as Umbro bring back a retro finish that mirrors kits of the 90s. Going further back than that though, it was 1977 when the brand first introduced that iconic diamond to the field of play. Developing their style through the decades, they're making waves once more.
For Hull City, the home shirt sees a modern take on the traditional club stripes. An impactful bold sleeve blocking creates a break from the norm when combined with a thin black body stripe with Amber pin detail. Lightweight mirco eyelets and ergonomic placed side panels aid the comfort and performance of the shirt. On the reverse back neck of the jersey there is stylised TIGERS wording which gives instant acknowledgement of the players and fans association with the club.
The 2018/19 Hull City Home kit will go on sale from 16th June.
