New Balance have unveiled their annual Liverpool FC blackout jersey as the tradition rolls into the 2019/20 season. The limited edition shirt won't be worn on pitch by the players but it offers the smartest of alternatives as the brand focus strongly on the club's streetwear presence.

The 2019/20 edition of the shirt is modelled on Liverpool FC’s home jersey for 2019/20 and builds on the centenary celebrations of legendary manager Bob Paisley OBE’s birth. A pin stripe design draws inspiration from Liverpool's 1982/83 strip, when Paisley was the club’s manager. The club icon’s signature is inscribed on the inside of the neck, while the jersey also features iridescent detailing on the front to add a stylised twist to the overall feel.

New Balance have made their blackout jerseys for Liverpool somewhat of a tradition during their time with the Anfield club, and the latest limited edition drop won't hang around for long if last year's release is anything to go by. The blackout vibes on the LFC shirt follow the trend of a dark month for New Balance as they fall on the back of new "Infinite Dark" pack which casts shadows over the Tekeal V2 and Furon V5 football boots.
