Borrowing some design inspiration from a cult classic from the mid 90s, Nike launch the Liverpool 21/22 away shirt, with the stone white base colour also being symbolic of The Three Graces, the collection of buildings that comprise the city’s iconic skyline.

Liverpool had a weird 20/21 season. At one point they were called out as putting across one of the worst title defences in memory, yet they still finished third and that despite an absolutely injury ravaged campaign. Well all of that is behind them now, and so Jurgen and the Reds look forward, and the club along with technical partners Nike have unveiled the new away shirt for the 21/22 season.

With its off-white stone and teal colourway, the new away shirt nods back to the cult classic kit of the 96/97 season. Crafted in stone, the shirt epitomises the rich history of Liverpool; a city born through graft and hard work, that is celebrated through its unique style and love of high-end fashion; a city with an unmistakable skyline, comprised of three iconic buildings called the three graces.

The striping in the collar and the sock are consistent with the bright crimson details of the club’s home shirt, while on the nape of the neck, the 96-emblem encased by the eternal flames sits proudly in memory of the 96 children, women and men who lost their lives at Hillsborough.

I think the fans will love this one," said midfielder Curtis Jones. "It’s a perfect reflection of the city and you can see the inspiration throughout the design with a throwback to the ’90s.
