Taking its inspiration from the industrial revolution in Turin, adidas launch the Juventus 23/24 third shirt, which celebrates this critical period in the establishment of this city, and its architecture. All about that retro collar and cuff combo…

As an homage to the incredible architecture found across Turin, the new Juventus third jersey incorporates a ribbed knit pattern, selected to reflect the textures and surfaces found across the famed structures of the Italian city. It instantly stands the design out as unique amongst its competitors, but the story doesn’t stop there. The charcoal base – more commonly found on the club’s goalkeeper kits – acts as a tribute to the jerseys worn by famous Juventus goalkeepers over the years, a particularly nice gesture given the recent retirement of Gianluigi Buffon, one of the club’s – and the world’s – all-time greatest no.1s.

The design is given a retro finish with a black Henry buttoned collar and ribbed white cuffs, tying in to the sponsor, chest brand and club crest, which again lends to the unique feel and presentation of the jersey. The Three Stripes ride along each shoulder in a subtle tonal grey.

The on-field version of the shirt is constructed with HEAT.RDY technology, optimised to keep players feeling comfortable while performing on the biggest stage. The kit version for fans features AEROREADY technology, which uses sweat-wicking or absorbent materials to keep the body feeling dry.

Both versions of the jersey have been made with 100 percent recycled materials, representing just one of adidas’ solutions to help end plastic waste. Earlier this year, adidas announced that it is ahead of schedule in its journey to replace virgin polyester with recycled polyester in its products wherever possible by the end of 2024.

The kit is set to be debuted when the Bianconeri travel to Stadio Friuli to take on Udinese on 20 August.
